Synopsis:

Many years later, on a rainy night, Shu Nian met Xie Ruhe again.

The man sat in a wheelchair, half of his face in shadow. He naturally possessed a pair of enchanting peach blossom eyes, with deep double eyelid folds.

Though his face was filled with affection, his expression was as cold and distant as ice.

Shu Nian, holding an umbrella, hesitated and called out to him. Then she asked, “Didn’t you bring an umbrella? Or should I—”

Xie Ruhe lowered his eyelids, not allowing her to finish. He didn’t linger and walked straight into the rain.

A long while later, Shu Nian emerged from the bakery, holding a brown paper bag.

In the blink of an eye, a torrential downpour began, with rain pouring down in torrents, splashing loudly on the concrete ground.

Out of nowhere, Xie Ruhe appeared, holding an umbrella, standing next to her.

When he saw her looking over, he asked, “Do you have an umbrella?”

Shu Nian nodded and took an umbrella out of her bag.

In the next moment, Xie Ruhe reached out, closed the umbrella, and, with a blank expression, said:

“It’s broken.”
