Synopsis
She is one of the most formidable mercenaries in the world—headstrong, reckless, arrogant, and utterly unrestrained. Yet after an unexpected journey through time, she finds herself drugged with an aphrodisiac, only to be thoroughly ravished by a man who takes her like a ravenous wolf. She never sees his face. All she remembers is the distinctive, faint fragrance of medicinal herbs clinging to his body. What she does not know is that the scent carries a deadly poison…
He is the God of War of the Great Zhou—a ruthless and merciless prince whose name strikes fear across the realm. Yet he personally comes to the Prime Minister’s residence to choose a bride. Disregarding her lowly status as a concubine-born daughter, he points directly at her and declares, “I choose you!”
Once she enters the household of a marquis, she pretends to be obedient and well-behaved on the surface, while secretly using the power and influence of the prince’s estate to search for the man who took her virginity.
On the surface, he remains cold, domineering, and overbearing. Behind closed doors, however, he is fiercely protective of her and indulges her without limit.
Until one day, she drives a sword into his heart—and personally tears away his mask…
