Chapter 114: Flowers Blooming in Pairs

Jiang Ci closed her eyes for a long while. When she didn’t hear him getting into bed, she couldn’t help but call out, “Wu Xia.”

“Mm,” he responded.

He sat silently in the darkness. Jiang Ci opened her eyes wide but could only see his vague silhouette.

“You should sleep too,” she said.

“I want to sit for a while. You sleep first,” he replied.

Jiang Ci felt a spark of irritation and said, “I can’t sleep.”

“Why can’t you sleep?”

Jiang Ci threw off her blanket, sat down beside Wei Zhao, and said with a hint of stubbornness in her voice, “How can I sleep when you’re standing there like a statue?”

Wei Zhao sighed helplessly, lay down fully clothed, and closed his eyes, saying, “Then I’ll sleep.”

Jiang Ci smiled triumphantly and turned back to her side to sleep. However, she noticed he hadn’t covered himself with a blanket. She quickly got up again, grabbed the blanket to cover his body, and said, “You’ve just gotten better, don’t catch a chill.”

In the darkness, she didn’t know how she stumbled, but she somehow found herself falling forward onto his body. As his intoxicating scent enveloped her, she realized she had no strength to get up.

It was unclear whose heart was pounding loudly, but in the night, it sounded exceptionally clear. After a long moment of confusion, she finally let out an “Ah” and tried to push herself up using his waist. As she applied force, she accidentally untied his sash. Panicking, she placed her hand on a certain part of his body. The strange sensation made her feel as if struck by lightning, and she quickly scrambled back.

Wei Zhao finally couldn’t help but let out a soft groan. He suddenly wrapped his arm around her slender waist, pulling her back, and breathed, “Xiao Ci.”

His voice was somewhat hoarse. Before she could react, he had already found her lips.

Intense desire engulfed him, also plunging her into a semi-conscious state. He kept kissing her, his trembling hand slipping inside her clothes, covering the softness of her chest. A wave of numbing sensation washed over her, completely overwhelming her. The heat from his palm made her shiver uncontrollably, and she finally couldn’t help but let out a soft “Mm” and gently bit his lower lip.

The slight pain in his lower lip brought Wei Zhao back to his senses. His body stiffened, and he slowly pushed her away, moving outward a bit. After a while, he said in a low voice, “Xiao Ci, I—” His voice seemed to have suppressed too much, dry and hoarse, hesitant to continue.

In the darkness, Jiang Ci lay beside him. When her breathing was no longer rapid, she said softly, “I’m cold.”

Wei Zhao remained silent, though his breathing was still heavy. Jiang Ci waited for a while and said again, “I’m cold.”

Wei Zhao was still hesitating when Jiang Ci slowly moved closer, leaning against his chest, and whispered, “It’s so cold, two cats need to huddle together to keep warm.”

She approached like a flame, and this warmth was irresistible to him. He could only embrace her tightly again. The warmth was like an overwhelming sea, and as they drifted, he wanted to burn completely, yet feared getting too close, worried that the darkness within him would swallow this faint light.

Having always walked on thin ice, alone in feeding tigers, sinking in darkness, if he could have this warmth, what did it matter if he turned to ashes?

Should he draw closer or flee? He struggled with this contradiction. But on such a beautiful night, with such a warm body—his desire surged like a tide, and his reason gradually sank—

At some point, their clothes had disappeared. The faint fragrance emanating from her body completely plunged him into a daze.

Even though there was no candlelight in the room, he could see her pure white, soft body, like a flash of lightning illuminating his eyes. Her fists were tightly clenched at her sides, her chest heaving violently up and down. He could feel her shyness, nervousness, and unease, but he could feel even more his panic and nervousness.

What should he do next? His breathing stopped for a moment, his mind blank and at a loss, but his body involuntarily covered that softness.

She moaned helplessly in his ear, “Wu Xia.”

He felt somewhat at a loss, the soft and hot body beneath him igniting all his passion, yet he wasn’t sure where to release this passion. She also sensed his unusual state and moved uneasily, the intense friction of skin making his mind go blank with a “boom,” his breathing becoming rapid as his body tensed.

Finally, something was about to happen on this night, unavoidable.

She whimpered beneath him. When he was sweating profusely and finally found his way, panting as he forcefully buried himself into her tense body, she bit her lower lip hard, swallowing back the cry of pain from the tearing sensation.

A strange yet blissful feeling engulfed them both. He paused only for a moment before continuing to bury himself deeply into her warm, tender body.

He had finally become Xiao Wu Xia again, and she had finally found her destined home.

Each entry made his heart tremble. That wonderful feeling made him unable to control himself. He tried to constantly savor this beauty, but deep in his heart, he always doubted whether he had fallen into a dream. He feared that this dream would eventually have a moment of awakening, so he could only try his best to remember this feeling, engraving it deeply in his heart.

The woman beneath him seemed very tense, her low moans seemingly tinged with pain. He was filled with anxiety and unease again, about to stop, but she hugged his back tightly.

The unease and doubt gradually faded away, and his eyes were filled with joy and fervor. He couldn’t help but pant and heave, and she held him tightly, trembling with his every rise and fall. The soft, delicate moans made him quickly go mad in wave after wave of passion until he forgot the entire world and he climbed to the highest peak of pleasure.

So, the fusion of body and soul could be so beautiful, so incredibly beautiful—

He lay on top of her, breathing softly, but there seemed to be a watery glimmer in his bright eyes. Her body was in pain, but her chest was filled with happiness and joy.

He wrapped her delicate, slender form in his arms, murmuring, “Xiao Ci.” She was once again submerged in his intoxicating scent, only able to respond with a soft “Mm.”

Gently stroking her hair, he felt as if something was blocking his chest, not knowing how to let her hear the gratitude filling his chest, but in the end, he couldn’t say a word.

At this moment, he just wanted to hold her tightly, to fuse her into his blood, his bones, his soul.

The night in the mountains was so quiet, quiet enough to hear each other’s heartbeats and every breath.

When Jiang Ci woke up, the room was already dimly lit with the morning light. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw endless tenderness in his eyes, quietly looking at her.

She shyly closed her eyes. He gazed at the enchanting blush on her face, leaned over, gently sucking on her lips and tongue, then kissed her neck, moving downward, until finally, trembling, he took her breast in his mouth. Like a lost child finding his way home, he let out a moan of happiness from his throat.

Jiang Ci’s whole body shuddered violently, simultaneously feeling the change in his body. Her face flushed red, and she couldn’t help but gasp, calling out, “Wu Xia.”

Desire spread again. The longing brought by the first taste of beauty made him unable to control himself. With less awkwardness than the night before, more wildness and lingering, skin to skin, black hair entangled, necks intertwined, it was endless affection and entanglement.

When he was completely embedded in her body, roaring lowly as he released himself again, Jiang Ci, amid extreme pleasure, suddenly felt the urge to cry. This sense of happiness came too strongly, overflowing from her chest outwards, overflowing so much that her heart ached a little. She opened her arms and hugged the violently trembling him tightly, murmuring, “Wu Xia.”

He gradually calmed down but still lay on top of her, his right hand supporting his chin, his gaze intertwining and lingering with hers. His black hair hung down, his forehead covered in beads of sweat. She reached out, wanting to wipe away the sweat, but he suddenly opened his mouth and took her fingers in.

Jiang Ci felt a tingling sensation travel from her fingertips straight to her heart. She couldn’t help but laugh and wiggle a few times. Wei Zhao let out a painful groan, rolling off her body and gasping for breath.

Jiang Ci quietly moved closer, and he reached out to hold her in his arms. When his breathing had somewhat steadied, he said softly, “Xiao Ci.”

“Mm.” Jiang Ci lay on his chest, watching their black hair intertwine, gently playing with it.

“Will you hate me in the future?” After the joy, he was again filled with regret and guilt.

Jiang Ci bit hard on his chest. He cried out in pain but still didn’t let her go. She slowly raised her head, looking at him with a mixture of coquettishness and resentment: “If you leave me again, I’ll hate you for a lifetime.”

A trace of inexplicable fear welled up in his heart. She seemed to see this fear in his eyes and anxiously climbed onto his body: “I want you to swear that you’ll never leave me again for the rest of your life.”

He gently stroked her snow-white skin and said in a low voice, “Alright, I’ll never leave you for the rest of my life.”

“I want you to swear,” she insisted.

He hesitated for a moment, then said softly, “Alright, if I leave you again, may I be punished by the scorching flames gnawing at my bones—” Jiang Ci felt an inexplicable panic in her heart and heavily covered his lips.

He said no more, holding her delicate body, feeling the fullness pressed tightly against his chest. Desire surged again, but in the end, he only gently caressed her skin, allowing her to sleep lazily on top of him.

When Jiang Ci woke up again, it was already midday. The soreness throughout her body made her unable to get out of bed. When her mind was slightly clearer, she realized he was no longer by her side.

She panicked, suddenly sat up, and called out anxiously, “Wu Xia!”

The brocade quilt slid down from her shoulders, and the marks of joy left from last night and this morning made her fully understand that this was not a dream. But where was he? In her panic, she was about to get out of bed when a white figure flashed in and took her into his arms.

She tightly hugged his neck, and he seemed to understand her unease, gently stroking her hair. As she gradually calmed down, she suddenly realized she was not wearing any clothes. With an “Ah,” she grabbed the quilt to wrap herself, her face turning bright red.

Even though they had been intimately close before, both of them felt somewhat shy at this moment. He hurriedly strode out, standing at the doorway, taking a long time to calm the waves surging in his chest again.

Soft footsteps sounded, and she hugged his waist from behind, pressing her face tightly against his back, not saying anything, just quietly leaning against him.

He turned around, his slender fingers gently lifting her face, and said softly, “Are you hungry?”

Jiang Ci smelled the fragrance of rice porridge and exclaimed in surprise, “You’re cooking?!”

Wei Zhao smiled slightly: “Is it that strange?”

Jiang Ci didn’t believe it and broke free from his hand, running to the kitchen. She couldn’t help but laugh, her eyes curving: “Well, well, you’ve been a thief again. This time, someone’s lost an entire chicken. I’m afraid they’ll be hunting for big wild cats all over the mountain.”

Wei Zhao just looked at her and smiled, his narrowed phoenix eyes showing rare pride and mischief.

The autumn night was clear and cold, and she was particularly afraid of the cold, curling her entire body into his embrace, craving the warmth in his arms. The scent on his body, like a spring breeze, wrapped tightly around her, making her unwilling to leave even for a moment.

Joy is fleeting in the darkness. For these few days, neither of them thought about where they were. They even spoke very little, both of them wholeheartedly immersed in endless burning, completely submerged in this pleasure.

Sleeping until midnight, she was awakened by the tickling sensation in her ear. She laughed and tried to dodge, but he followed.

“Are you tired?” His breathing began to grow heavier, his voice carrying some bewitchment and a hint of desire.

She felt some soreness, but she couldn’t and didn’t want to escape from his arms. She just buried her head in his chest and let out a soft “Mm.” He couldn’t tell if this was a refusal or agreement, but he still covered her body with his.

Her body was so delicate and alluring, that he craved every inch of her skin, exploring every bit of her softness.

She responded passionately but found that he had stopped. She opened her misty eyes to see him gazing at her intently. She couldn’t help but wrap her arms around his neck and say softly, “What’s wrong?”

He seemed to have some different kind of desire, and beads of sweat began to form on his forehead. Jiang Ci quickly said softly, “Are you feeling unwell somewhere?”

His breathing quickened, and he suddenly grasped her waist. His voice was somewhat hoarse as he whispered in her ear, “Let’s try something, okay?”

“Try what?” She looked at him with wide eyes.

Seeing her staring at him unblinkingly, his face reddened even more, and he spoke with a commanding tone: “Close your eyes.”

“I won’t.” She was even more curious and simply stared at him intently.

He let out a somewhat embarrassed grunt and suddenly lifted her. She closed her eyes and cried out “Ah!” When she opened her eyes again, she was already sitting on his waist.

“You—” She was a bit panicked.

“Be good,” his voice carried a hint of stubbornness.

Not knowing what he wanted to do, she could only wrap her arms around his neck and obediently say, “Okay.”

Tonight, deep in the mountains, flowers bloom in pairs, with thousands of buds. The beautiful night passes all too quickly.
